本寺住持忠明法师在朝山开始前，也为大众勉励并开示朝山功德利益，并领众念诵朝山祈愿文。随后，「那摩药师琉璃光如来」的佛号响起，忠明法师领众三步一拜地向药师佛迈进。队伍中，不乏五岁的幼儿及年过八旬的老菩萨。老菩萨虽不能跪拜，却仍坚持信念，虔诚地念佛礼拜。幼儿虽未明理，但以虔诚之心朝礼药师佛，难免不令人感动。
三步一拜的祈福活动行进约2个半小时后，在位于玳瑁山腰处的“药师琉璃光如来”圣像前，忠明法师领众进行祈愿回向仪式，随着“万福万寿和平钟”雄厚钟声的响起，大众共同诚挚祈愿药师如来殊胜加持，现世父母福寿安康，往生者离苦得乐、早生净土！国泰民安，世界祥和！
