下午16时30分，本寺在琉璃宝塔内举行清明节思亲报恩药师瑜伽焰口法会。主法法师举赞拈香，领众依次于殿外面燃大土坛、孤魂坛、超度坛参礼上香；随后，主法登座，口念意观、手结印契，一心奉请幽冥教主本尊地藏王菩萨等，引领众姓历代祖先累世怨亲债主，各路孤魂野鬼来赴甘露道场。期间，法师念诵了特定于清明、七月十五普渡、冬至、除夕四大节日统一有寺院代为祭供的超荐疏文。整场法会如法如律，于晚21时30分许圆满结束。
寺院法师和信众以至诚心、报恩心同礼十方诸佛菩萨，惟愿仰仗三宝功德力，超度十方善信之已故先人，冤亲债主，以及十方法界无主孤魂等众，愿佛光注照，积聚资粮，早得解脱、往生净土；并以此功德祈愿正法久住、国泰民安，世界祥和。
清明节是中国重要传统节日之一，是人们祭奠祖先、缅怀先人的节日。唐代著名诗人孟浩然的《清明即事》：“帝里重清明，人心自愁思。车声上路合，柳色东城翠。花落草齐生，莺飞蝶双戏。空堂坐相忆，酌茗聊代醉。”道出了人们清明节追思先人的情怀。
