法会开始前，忠明法师为众开示此次法会意义；“佛言：“慈父恩高如山，悲母恩深如大海。”希望大家将如来孝道精神融入到生活中，好好践行地藏大愿精神。
此次精进地藏七由本寺住持忠明法师亲自带领僧众及全国各地信众，从即日起至8月24日（农历七月廿九日）地藏菩萨圣诞日结束，诚念地藏菩萨圣号七昼夜，藉此感诸佛菩萨慈悲降临坛场，赐福众生。惟愿以此功德令世界和平，风调雨顺，国泰民安；善信合家安康、六时吉祥；往生者离苦得乐、早登极乐。
届时欢迎广大善信随缘参加此次精进地藏七，同为现世眷属，业消福增；往生亲友，离苦得乐，同生净土。
