       2014年5月6日，农历四月初八，是佛教界一年一度庆祝释迦牟尼佛圣诞的吉祥日子，也称为浴佛节。厦门市药师佛道场——石室禅院隆重举行了甲午年“浴佛庆典”法会。
　　
       上午9时30分，僧俗大众云集在弘法讲堂，大家庄严静立，双手合十，虔诚的恭迎释迦太子圣像。一时，寺内钟鼓齐鸣，声震四方，本寺住持忠明法师手托太子圣像在香花灯仪仗队的迎请下，缓步进入弘法讲堂将圣像安奉在九龙浴佛盆内。
   
       法会开始前，忠明法师并为大众开示浴佛的起源、意义及功德。随后，在“南无本师释迦牟尼佛”的唱诵声中，忠明法师携僧俗大众同礼如来，同赞佛德，依次在浴佛坛城前跪拜问讯，以殊胜香汤灌沐太子清净之身以为供养。当天千余名信众和游客参加，虔诚浴佛祈福，感悟佛陀的慈悲、智慧和欢喜。
   
　　 中午举行的“皈依三宝仪式”上，忠明法师领众齐唱赞佛偈，与新佛子们共同缅怀伟大的三界导师释迦牟尼佛，共同祈愿国泰民安、佛法久住、世界祥和！
