2014年3月8日上午8点半，龙天护持，天降甘露；本寺举办七昼夜（168小时）的“药师精进关”闭关法会正式起关，法会恭请忠明法师为主法和尚，并带领全体闭关大众在大雄宝殿恭诵《药师经》一部、诵持药师咒、授八关斋戒；忠明法师为闭关大众灌顶加持，期望大家在闭关期间精进持咒、念佛，并能与药师佛相应。随后大家在“那摩药师琉璃光来”圣号声中，法师、随喜居士将闭关大众送至关房。忠明法师并一同闭关。
同时，时值农历二月初八释迦牟尼佛出家纪念日，石室禅院举行了消灾祈福吉祥法会，以此功德回向国泰民安，信众吉祥安康！仗此殊胜功德使马来西亚失联飞机航班全体人员遇难呈祥，离苦得乐！
