下午1时，进行请下堂仪式，主法法师、诸功德主依次出位至仙桥前，掷鲜花、焚云鹤迎请众生到会，召请居住在水陆空的神灵以及一切待超荐的六道众生前来参加法会。
傍晚19时说幽冥戒，授幽冥戒系在世之人，为已故眷属虔诚代求受三皈及大乘菩萨十戒，令其守持，清净三业，善根增长。当晚18时施放十九大士焰口一堂。
当天下午，原厦门市民宗局副局长、现厦门市司法局蔡永华副局长，原海沧区民宗局局长、现海沧区计生局沈瑶局长，莅临本寺水陆法会现场关心指导。
